22nd September 2016 – GreenSolRes meeting

On 22nd September 2016, SYNCOM participated in the kick-off meeting of the new European Demonstration Project “GreenSolRes”, coordinated by GF Biochemicals, that was hosted by RWTH Aachen, Germany. The GreenSolRes consortium consists of a group of 4 enterprises, 2 universities and 1 Research Technology Organisation (RTO) from Belgium, Germany, Italy and Netherlands. The project started on 1st September 2016 received funding under Bio-based Industries Innovation action within EU’s Horizon 2020 programme. The meeting was attended by all members of consortium as well as by the Executive Director of BIC Mr. Dirk Carrez and Project Manager of BBI-JU Ms. Agata Pieniadz. The GreenSolRes project demonstrates the Value Chain 1, the conversion of lignocellulosic feedstocks into chemical building blocks and high added value products.
